Introduction!

One of my favorite past times is reading. I'm very passionate about it and I like to read things that are relevant to what I'm learning in class. While I don't have a lot of time to read with my course load, I do always try to fit in a few pages a day! A few of my favorite novels I have read that have been educational and apply to WGS are:
- At the Dark End of the Street: Black Women, Rape, and Resistance by Danielle L. McGuire
- Blue Is The Warmest Color by Julie Maroh
- Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg *available for free on her website*
- Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin
On the other hand, I also love films and going to the cinema. Here are a few recommendations with the trailers linked:
- Paris Is Burning *documentary on Netflix*
- Hedwig and the Angry Inch
- Blue Is The Warmest Color *available on Netflix*
Thanks for reading my introduction and I hope we can make this a shared learning experience!
An well-written introduction to your blog, and excellent embedded links to some of your favorite books (reading material on this topic) ! I look forward to reading future posts! 10/10
